  4. Kamila Siwik Says:

Heyy i was just wondering how tall are you. i just got into the whole reading blogs for thinspo but its a bit of a challenge. Whenever i see that the person is say 130+… its hard for me to see how thats healthy. the reason being is that im 5’2 (5’3 on a good day lol) and 110lbs. so 130+ is obese to me. thus when i saw you started this at 125 i got excited bc maybe i finally found someone thats on the shorter side and would be true inspiration for me (btw great job on the weight loss. i bet you look absolutely stunning now). anyway im rambling. ultimately i just want to know: whats your height?

  5. I’ve read a few posts and I’ve fallen in love with your blog and your story.

Check out my blog if you want, if you do I would love to hear some feed back.

  6. Daphna Yeshua-Katz Says:

    Hello,

My name is Daphna Yeshua-Katz and I am a graduate student in the Department of Telecommunications at Indiana University. I have read your blog and would like to invite you to participate in my study about pro-ana bloggers. I am very interested in learning about your motivations for publishing your blog, as well as the benefits the blog may provide to both you and your readers.

Ideally, the interview would take place over the phone or via Skype. However, if you don’t feel comfortable with either of these approaches, I would be happy to send my questions to you via email. I can schedule the interview at convenient day and time for you. Whichever method you choose, please know that your identity will be kept anonymous and your answers will stay strictly confidential.

You are also welcome to ask me any questions about the study at any time. You can contact me by email at dyeshuak@indiana.edu, phone +1- 812-3204517. In the meantime, you can learn more about me here: http://www.indiana.edu/~telecom/people/grads/dyeshuak.shtml . I hope to hear from you soon.

    Best regards,

    Daphna Yeshua-Katz

P.S. If you know more pro-ana bloggers that would be interested in participating in this study please feel free to forward them this invitation.

  7. Hi,
I’m a graduate student in sociology doing a study on pro-anorexia. I’m contacting you in the hopes that you would agree to post a link to my survey on your website or otherwise distribute it among members and subscribers of your website. Anyone is welcome to fill it out, though I don’t expect or require people to do so. Participants may choose to fill out the survey partially or fully. There will be no repercussions for filling it out partially, or for stopping halfway through.

I’m happy to talk to you or anyone about this research at any time. I know that past academic research on pro-anorexia hasn’t exactly been positive; I hope to remedy this by directly contacting the people who participate on these websites. I don’t think that past research has been a fair portrayal.

The survey may be found here: http://people.umass.edu/kmccurle/home.html. Please contact me at this email address (kmccurle@soc.umass.edu) if you or any of the website members have any questions. My contact information is also available on the website. I consider this a favor, and deeply appreciate any help you can give me in distributing this survey. If you know of other pro-ana websites that might be interested, please feel free to forward this to them. Thanks very much for your time.
    Respectfully yours,
    Kay McCurley

  10. Alysse Rupprecht Says:

Hello, My name is Alysse Rupprecht, and I work for the Dr. Phil Show. I hope you all are not offended by me emailing you, and completely understand if you don’t want to be contacted.

Dr. Phil is working on an upcoming show that will be discussing the topic of Anorexia/Bulimia. We are interested in having an open discussion, part of which would be about the view of Ana as a disorder or as a lifestyle. Dr. Phil would like to make sure that all sides are represented equally, when discussing this topic. Once again, I apologize for contacting you in this way.

If you are interested in speaking with me, even if it is just to give me insight or for research, everything will kept completely confidential. Please do not take offence to my email, as I am not here to judge, and just want the community to be heard. I can be contacted at alysse.rupprecht@cbs.com

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my email, and hope I can speak with you soon.

    Sincerely,
    Alysse Rupprecht

  14. James Carter Says:

Hi I find your web-site really useful to keep me on track. A tip in the morning is to start the day with a tablespoon of Cider vinegar and Honey in a glass of water. This helps to repair the acidity of the stomach and has other benefits. Google to get full benefits.

  16. I am being forced into treatment, but I don’t see how what I am doing is a problem. I wouldn’t recommend it to other people, but if it works…
Anyway, I would like some mia support; so, if anyone is interested, please leave me a comment with your email :)

  17. I’m not doing too badly thanks. Uni is pretty good – I’m on my year abroad in France at the moment which certainly has its challenges, but I’m enjoying it for the most part. Recovery has kind of remained at the same level for the last two years. My weight hasn’t dropped dramatically low or anything, so that’s good for recovery, but my thinking is the same as it ever was. Which makes it super frustrating because I feel like a fat anorexic now. :/ & you know how it is in the UK, if you aren’t super skinny the NHS just can’t really afford to help you. How are you doing?
(Also I don’t know if you still have my email address but it’s up there ^^, I don’t seem to have yours anymore :( )

  18. hello :D

  19. I hope you are feeling better now, I must say I loved your blog and wish you all the best. Was ana before becoming pregnant. You write very well. I’d like to read the other posts too with a password, how can I? Lots of Love to you xxx

  20. I absolutely love your blog :) I notice your loving Wasted by Marya Hornbacher too? I swear that book is homogenous amongst all disordered individuals! Where are you posting from?
Check out my blog if you’ve got time :) would love to hear from you.
    xx Lola
